Seaward On This work has been published in the Teen Ink monthly print magazine.

By seanturlan, Chicago, IL

Crashing waves rock my ship from
side to side,
Lightning and thunder, yet I cannot hide,
For I captain this ship, no matter what weather may be,
I steer this wooden beauty to the ends
of the sea,

Storm calms down now, clear skies in
its end,
Made tough did the weather for me
to defend
This glorious ship that holds dearest to me,
I steer this wooden beauty to the end of
the sea,

This ship gives me shelter where I
do confide,
But when my ship needs me I never
will hide,
