People said that high school goes by in a flash,
But we never really believe them.
Until it’s the day of Graduation and it hits you like a ton of bricks.
We’re happy that the day is finally here,
But at the same time you can feel heartbroken, seldom, and frustrated.
This is bitter sweet in a sense.
This marks to beginning to a new life,
Yet the end of your own childhood
No more getting tucked in at night,
No more goodnight kisses’,
No more acting like a child.
The time to grow up is now
But what if we don’t want to?
What if you just want to hold on just a little longer?
But the only things you have now are the memories,
The memories that have molded you
