Now a days technology is advancing more rapidly than ever before. There are new products out every time someone turns around. But when's the last time a new invention got as popular as the iPhone or the iPad? Because of the improving technology people are losing the desire to create something brand new because chances are, something just like it already exists.
For example, Apple products. There's the iPhone 5, the iPad 4, and even the iPad mini. All of these things are the same exact thing, just in different sizes, colors, and names. Their line of computers, the MacBook, MacBook Air, and MacBook Pro are the same thing and they all serve the same purpose. When's the last time they came out with something that no one has ever seen before? It's been a while, hasn't it? Not to say that their products are bad, it's just getting redundant.
Every device on the market at this point has a competitor. It's not just the "inter- company-no-new-ideas" anymore, now, other companies are stealing ideas and trying to sell it for their own. Let's be honest, how much of a difference is there between the Kindle and the Nook? These so-called "improvements" are just cheaper ways to make the same product but selling it at a higher price. People are no longer interested in coming up with something new and exciting, especially since the computers that they're building do everything for them.
,
All this being said, it's not just phones and computers that are improving and benefiting the world as a whole. Cars, houses, and even the different foods available to people are improving. Cars are becoming safer, more reliable, and cheaper. Houses are being built quicker, cheaper, and more efficiently. Foods are healthier and more readily available, now, more than ever. The quality of life for humans is increasing with the bettering of technology.
Just because technology is improving doesn't mean there isn't a lack of need for new ideas. The development of better technology is helpful but there is always room for improvement. Technology is beneficial, but there's nothing new under the sun. New ideas are good, lets just come up with some.
