Something is not right. You shrug the feeling, because it's uncomforting. But it keeps coming back. You try to replace the pain with something great, but emptiness is not that easy to shun. Emptiness is a result of losing something that you loved more than the moon loves the stars. Emptiness is not something that can be fixed with a kiss, or a simple "I'm sorry for your loss". Emptiness is fixed over time. Emptiness is only gone when your heart swells with enough happiness to fill the hole that used to exist. However, just because the hole is gone does not mean that it won't come back. Emptiness is needed. As horrible as it sounds, you need pain and emptiness to grow. To understand true happiness you need to know true pain. To feel complete you need to know what it is like to feel empty.
