"Smile all day. Cry all night."-Tran Le Mai
We all have our moments. I know I do. In bad times, we have been told repeatedly to remain strong and keep our heads high. However, sometimes, when push comes to shove, we cannot contain ourselves any longer. We merely want to have a good cry.
According to WebMD, a website focusing on health, crying is a natural emotional response to sadness, hurt, or frustration. Tears can be a method that some might use to gain attention while in other situations, weeping can be an effect of being too overwhelmed. On the contrary, sobbing can be a reaction to beauty.
Often, I cry and end up with no more tears left to shed. The thing is, I don’t even know why I cry. When I sing songs with powerful messages, I cry. When I go to bed at night, I cry. When I dance, I cry. As I write this, I cry.
Throughout the day, those tears are concealed by that artificial smile plastered to my face. Nevertheless, I wear that smile all day long.
