I hear the wheels rumbling like a washingmachine
I taste my sweat as I suddenly lean
I feel my feet firmly plantedon the grip tape
I see myself whizzing by the autumn landscape
Myskateboard is a well-worn shoe
Scratches, dirt and much more, too
Thenthere are times when I take a hit
I'd probably need a first-aidkit
Kickflips, heelflips, and even 360s
All these tricks are hard onthe knees
The slick skateboard slides smoothly on a rail
My skateboard andI never fail
Skateboarding is number one
Maybe someday I'll make aton
But what would I do without a skateboard?
That would be something Icouldn't afford.
