How/What/When?
One hot morning in Litchfield Park, AZ, slept a very disheveled girl name Polly. The sun was shining and it was the last day of school. Who wouldn’t be excited? Polly. that’s who. She was the only girl in her grade not attending the last day of fifth grade. It was all because of her gregarious cousin Jackie and her family.
About a month ago Polly was struck with news that a regular kid would probably go nuts for, but she was no regular kid. She had her own style, her own flare, her own
uniqueness that no one understood but her. She was a medium height girl with hot pink highlights in her dark black hair along with different shades of pink clothing items. You can probably guess that she’s a pink fanatic.
“Polly! Wake up you aunt and uncle are coming to get us,” shouted her mother.
Polly slowly woke up and got ready. She looked at her pink watch and saw that it was already 9:49.
My friends are probably having the time of their life.
Polly scrambled around in her walk in closet and grab her favorite pink shirt along with the whitest short she owns. She quickly put them on and scurried downstairs where her mom was lugging out the luggages they were bringing on the excursion.
“Oh! You’re finally awake. Start putting these luggages inside the back of the Lexus.”
Polly took ahold of one of the luggage and dragged it to the car. She still couldn’t believe her mom traded in the exorbitant, sleek grey Hummer truck for the 2011 Lexus 570. It wasn’t a tedious car it was pretty ostentatious with its embellished wheels and 9 in rear seat tv. It was everything amazing to others that Polly hated. She hated this car since it first drove up the driveway with cacophony blasting out the window and her mom driving up and yelling out surprise. This car was supposed to be immaculate at all times and was taken out every week to get clean. Just thinking about it gave Polly the creeps. She toss the luggage into the trunk and went into the house to get the others.
All of a sudden, a huge honk came out of nowhere and Polly turned around seeing her aunt and uncle and her so called ecstatic cousin Jackie with her older brother Jac and Joceline. Jackie jumped out of the car and dashed towards Polly.
“Oh no!”
Umph! Jackie collided into Holly.
“I am so sorry!” cried Jackie.
“She probably did it on purpose,” whispered Polly so that only she could hear.
“What did you say?” questioned Jackie.
“Oh, nothing.” replied Polly.
Jackie felt skeptical about Polly answer, but just went on into the house to help out. Jackie knew Polly hated her, but didn’t know why. She was perfect in every ones’ eyes besides Polly. Jackie tries to consolidate with Polly, but she just backs away. It seems as if Polly thought of her as nothing other than an apparition floating in the family that she can’t see. Jackie was devastated about her cousin Polly’s reaction, but they were going to Disneyland after all and it was the happiest place on Earth full of medley things.
“Jackie!’
Jackie turns around and sees her older sister Joceline.
“Do you want to go in Polly’s car or ours?”
“I’ll go in Polly’s car because there I can play with Aqua and Polly and watch tv.”
“OK, get ready then because we are about to leave.”
Jackie dashed back to the Lexus and slid inside. There sat Polly listening to her music player without a care in the world. Jackie unzipped her jacket and putted on her seatbelt. Her cousin Polly looked around and was mesmerized at what Jacque was wearing.
Jackie wasn’t wearing anything bizarre she was just wearing a orange tank top with white shorts and some orange bracelets along with it.
“What is that?” questioned Polly.
“It’s some bracelets,” answered Jackie. “My mom gave it to me.”
“Those are mine,” Polly said furiously.
“Here,” replied Jackie.
Jackie did not want to start an altercation with Polly, so she came to a consensus and just handed the bracelets over to Polly. Hmph! Polly snached the braceletes and put in her headphones and blasted the music higher than before. Then Aqua came in. Polly’s older sister who was Jackie favorite cousin.
“Hi!” Aqua quickly yelled to Jackie.
A sweet smell of chocolate permeated the car as Aqua quickly hid some brown bars for the trip since it would take about 8 hours to get there. Aqua hid the brown bars in a clandestine location that only she was accessible to. She sat right near Jackie and and pulled out her phone.
“What was that?” asked Jackie.
Aqua set her phone down and look at Jackie.
“Don’t tell anyone,” whispered Aqua. “I’m going to starve if I don’t have food in the car, so I snuck some chocolate bars inside there.”
“Oh,” responded Jackie.
The two then started to compete with each other to see who had the better score in Temple Run but then about 5 minutes into the game Jackie decided to capitulate since Aqua got over a 1,000,000. As the two girls were scrolling through the phone to look for games they could play together, the trunk slammed shut and Polly’s little and older brother came in along with her parents.
“Are we there yet?” Larry the youngest cried.
“We just got in the car,” Ty the older brother replied.
Both Polly’s parents slid into the driver and front passenger seat and buckled up. Polly’s dad started up the car and pulled out of the driveway. They drove for about 3 hours until they stopped for gas at QuikTrip. Polly’s dad stood outside and took the pump and inserted into the hole in the car.
Meanwhile, Jackie and Aqua snuck away from the car by saying that they were heading to the bathroom. Of course they didn’t lie, they did go but they took a brief detour and bought a bag full of candy for the trip with the money they took from Polly’s wallet.
Meanwhile, in Polly’s family car, Ty and Larry were knocked out.
“Just one more hour till’ we arrive at DisneyLand.” sang Polly’s mom.
Just as Polly’s mom said that Aqua and Jackie swiftly open the car door, threw the bag of candy in the back and climbed back there. Polly’s dad just finished pumping the gas and started up the car again to leave. Since there was nothing to do in the car anymore everyone about fell asleep already, besides Polly’s dad of course.
Polly was comfortably laying her head on the window and Larry and Ty were putting their heads together. While in the back Aqua and Jackie woke up because they weren't tired anymore and took out Jac’s ipad and started playing the games on there. About 30 minutes later, Jackie’s dad called and told them that they should stop and go eat something so they needed to procrastinate the time they would get to DisneyLand. Polly’s parents decided to take everyone to Orange County Hill Restaurant for the treat of a lifetime. To get there Polly’s dad drove up a mountain for about 3 minutes slowly and finally arrived. The valets parked their car for them and they headed on in the restaurant. A waitresses escorted them to a table for eleven and a few minutes later they were joined in with Jackie’s family.
At the restaurant right then, they had a buffet theme so everyone quickly ordered their drink and grabbed a plate and walked around seeing what they wanted. Every section of the restaurant had gourmet food and even a dessert area with a chocolate fountain. Aqua, Polly and Jackie went together to get their food while the others got their own besides Larry.
“There’s a lot of food!” cried Jackie.
“I know,” answered Aqua. “I’ll just eat all the types of pasta they have!”
“I’m going to start off with dessert.” said Polly excitedly.
“Don’t you think your mom won’t be apathetic about that?” questioned Jackie.
Polly pondered a while and answered back no and swiftly slid through the crowd towards the dessert area. A few minutes later everyone was happily enjoying their food when Polly sat down. Everyone looked at her plate and thought it was a hoax or something.
“What’s on your plate?” her mom questioned.
“Well, it’s chocolate dipped marshmallows, strawberry and a big slice of chocolate cake with a little glass of chocolate ice cream garnish with little bits of chocolate shavings.”
Polly’s mom looked up and down at her and kept rebuking her about how you’re not supposed to eat dessert first and how ashamed she is that Polly didn’t know that. Polly slid away from the table and sat about two tables away. Polly knew she was ostracized from the table, so she did as she was told until her mom would calm down. Jackie and Aqua knew it, Polly was going to be coerced her to sit somewhere else because you are never suppose to eat dessert first..
A few minutes later Polly rejoined the table with a normal dish of main course meals. Finally, the caterer arrived and handed over the drinks that everyone order. Like on cue, everyone started imbibing their drink at once. About an hour later, everyone felt full and the kids headed on out while the adults fought over paying the bill.
After all that bickering the adults collaborated with each other and paid the bill dividing it evenly amongst them. The families piled up in the cars and headed towards DisneyLand. When they finally got there it was unimaginable, it felt like they just died and gone to heaven. The families drove towards the Disneys’ hotels and parked in front of Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel. They got the luggages out of the car, checked in and went up the elevator towards their room. The families opened the door to the two rooms they got and threw the luggages aside. They were finally at Disneyland!
It was pretty obvious the kids wanted to go out and go on rides, but the adults were too obstinate because they needed to rest. So Joceline took Aqua, Larry and Polly while Jac took Ty. They all walked to the park and went their separate ways. Joceline’s group first went to Fantasyland and saw some people impersonating Disney princesses. While they were still walking they found an area where there was maps of the park. They grabbed one and repeated what it said verbatim. A few feets near them was a place that sold churros. Joceline went hyper and pulled everyone towards the place that were selling them. The man selling them was very loquacious and talked like he was a doors to doors solicitor.
“This is a imperative thing to do.” Joceline yelled.
“The best of the best is served to you pippen hot right here!” He screamed.
Joceline bought 3 churros for all of them to share. They were so scrumptious, the best anyone in the group had ever had. Then they left and Joceline started to become vigilant for any rides that they could go on that weren’t too scary for Larry. The parks was prevalent of tourist from all over everything and Joceline became perplexed on where they were. It felt like a perpetual labyrinth and there is no way out. Joceline made a conjecture and pulled them towards a crowd of people watching some sort of a play. The play was over however and everyone was yelling out encore. Joceline decided to be concise and tell us the truth instead of being a prevaricator. She told them that there is no way to get around here and that we should wake up early tomorrow and go, so they all headed to Disney Downtown District and went shopping instead.
