Summary: Joy Hartman isn’t your typical high school student. She’s your typical high school outcast. She’s never met her real family, has next to no social life, and, on top of it all, is in an ongoing war with the popular boy, Spencer Blake. Through a seemingly unfortunate series of events, Joy begins to connect bits of her murky past to Spencer. Despite her resistance, she finds herself slowly – and awkwardly – opening up to a boy she never thought she could care about.
