Summary: For Ava Anderson, her life is anything but normal. She not only has one leg, but she is also stuck in the Special-Needs class--all because of Neurofibromatosis, a neurological disorder causing tumors to grow anywhere within her body. The disorder has not only caused that, but Ava is also an outcast, bully victim, and hated or pitied wherever she goes.
Her ninth grade year is definitely one of changes-will Ava be able to face her changes, even when she is abandoned by her best friend, Jerry? Or will she let the monster of depression, bullying and abandoned hope defeat her?
