Summary: Seventeen year old Samantha has been best friends with Susie and Derek for as long as she can remember. They’ve laughed together, cried together and gone through many hardships together. And one thing she knows is that she has never felt any different about Derek than about any other friend. So why is it that when Mandy, her arch-nemesis, suddenly takes an interest in Derek, so does she? Samantha is learning that it’s very hard to keep your best friend and your arch- nemesis from dating, all while trying to convince yourself that you feel absolutely nothing for said person is a very hard thing to do.
