Summary: Aspen Rose Thompson isn't the luckiest 14-year-old in the world. Half her family is dead, landing her in a foster home with a witch of a foster mother. When weird things begin to happen to the sky, turning it the most putrid of colors, Aspen and her blind friend, Dallan, seek the answers. Out of nowhere, people are mysteriously dying and radiation is being injected into the atmosphere. Aspen and Dallan come to the deadliest of conclusions: The end of the world.
