Chapter 24- Good-byes

“Are you sure you don’t want to stay with us, Skor?” Scarface asked as the Wolf Pack stood outside their headquarters.
“I’m sure, Scarface. I’ve always been a loner,” Skor replied as he flew off.
The final battle with the Scorpions had completely shattered the nefarious gang. The Jagrundi and the Wolf Pack now ruled over half of the Lost City. All that was left to do was tell the President (who was visiting for the day) good-bye.
“You know, humans and clones could always work together, Scarface. We could built an even better nation,” the President said as he prepared to board the helicopter.
“Oh, I know,” our leader replied. “But there’s always a risk that the creators may come back. So, let’s keep the Lost City lost for now. Deal?”
“Deal,” the President replied, grinning as he boarded the helicopter and flew off into the blood-red sunset.
So, for now the Lost City would remain a secret. And that’s just the way I like it.
