Teenage Love?

Do you believe in love in high school? Could it possibly exist?

No way, kids don't know what true love is... But, how many people do you know that dated in high school that are currently married and happy? I personally know about 4 couples very very well that are now happy after being high school sweethearts. Did they just like each other as teens and grow to love each other? When did the "like" change to "love?" In college? Age 21? 22?23? Or could they possibly have loved each other all along?

How can you put an age on love?

I, personally, believe in teenage love. I truly think it exists. Adults that did not fall in love till they were, in fact, adults, will most likely dismiss it. However, some - like my mother, for instance - do not dismiss teenage love. Do you?

love exists everywhere. where there's digust, hate, ignorance, theres love. no matter how old or how young, how alone or celebrated; love is everywhere and in anybody's heart.

Love is a word that is undescribable and as teens we throw it around as if it has no meaning. I think that teens think thier inlove with some 1 then years later they look back at that and think WOW what was i thinking??........ It happens all the time because I know people that it happened to....... My parents were High school sweet hearts, had me at a young age, got married and now thier no longer together....... my main point is that when your young you do stupid things and dont realize it until you get older

I really liked the way you presented your facts and how you made the article interesting.  I agree that there is no age limit on love.

I believe in teenage love, middle school love, and adult love. While I don't think a kindergartner feels the same way as a teenager or adult, you can love somebody at a young age.

Thank you for your comments. When I opened my inbox and saw that someone had replied, I was sure that it was going to be someone disagreeing with what I had said. I was very pleasantly surprised to see that actually they were in agreement with me. Seeing that there are at least a couple of people who feel the same way I do gives me hope!

I think that is possible to fall on love in high school, but the percentage is probably like 1 out of 10 people end up getting married and not getting divorced.  A lot of times in high school and college u r not serious and you just r trying it out and things like that.  Where as when you are out of college or in ur mid 20s u r more serious because u know u will get married soon so u r trying to find the right person.  In elementry and middle school forget about it! no one is going to get married to the person maybe like 1 out 50 people do!!! High school and college r where u start dating but normaly u dont find the one!!!! Not until u r older u will find the special someone! There is that one perfect person out there for u so go find it no matter how olng it takes use ur whole lift to find that special person if you need to!!! dont feel rished to get married or find that special someone!!!!!

I think that falling in love in elementary school is kinda temporary middle school and elementary school are still starters. High school and college love are way different then you just may have fell in love!

That was the most truthful comment I've read so far. What you said is exactly what many people need to hear!

Yes, some people already know what they want, and can be perfectly happy with being in love without bitter adults breathing down their necks. Although I do agree that you should get to know someone very well before you fall in love with them.

You don't HAVE to get married if you're in love.  You don't have to be "officially" b/f+g/f. You can love someone and keep it secret. You can hold on to them forever and still not be "together".

I hate it when people say, "Love? You're not in love with him. It's just a crush." How do they  know if you're in love or not? I think that people can be in love at any age. People who discourage that have probably never been in love, or they haven't fallen in love until they were older.
