Teenage Love?

Do you believe in love in high school? Could it possibly exist?

No way, kids don't know what true love is... But, how many people do you know that dated in high school that are currently married and happy? I personally know about 4 couples very very well that are now happy after being high school sweethearts. Did they just like each other as teens and grow to love each other? When did the "like" change to "love?" In college? Age 21? 22?23? Or could they possibly have loved each other all along?

How can you put an age on love?

I, personally, believe in teenage love. I truly think it exists. Adults that did not fall in love till they were, in fact, adults, will most likely dismiss it. However, some - like my mother, for instance - do not dismiss teenage love. Do you?

I think that teenagers understand love more than anyone, we love with a passion that people lose over time because they are afraid for their heart to be broken again. Teenagers have that fearless quality, the nothing can touch me mind set. I'm one of them and I will always believe in teenage love :D

I agree. How are they to tell us if we love someone or not, this experience is being lived through us not them.

The feeling of love has to start somewhere. Adults who claim that toung people do not know what love is, they are truly mistaken. Its the best feeling in the world and I and Dont think that it would make a difference if i were an adult.

i believe in teenage love!!! if your with someone for so long and act like a great realationship then its more than likley love!!! If you brake up with someone and get back together and stay together its love! Im tired of adults saying "your taking this to seriously" or "its lust not love" how would they know what we are feeling!

I completely agree! I met my fiancee in high school. I'm currently still 18, not even planning to be married until after college. You can't predict when you're going to meet "the one". Even if we had not grown up together, I believe that we would've found each other someday, whether we were 25 or 60. You can't help when you meet someone that you cannot help but love. For some people it just happens earlier.

I do believe in teenage love. I hate how some adults automactically dismiss the possibilty of falling in love when you're a teenager. Great topic for piece

Actually, I do believe teenage love, but it's the way some people handle it. Some people "fall in love" with every person they date. They don't have the state of mind of what love REALLY is. Love happens differently for all people at different times, you can't tell someone they don't they're not in love, because you don't know that forsure. Most teenagers do take advantage of the word love, so there's not much REAL love in the teenage world, but it does exist.

I personally believe in teenage love. I dont think anyone can tell you what love is because its different for everyone or thats how it seems to me. i believe in it too because i look at my teacher shes happily married to her teenage lover.

if the kids want to do it than let them they think its right for them to do it than let them take the responsiblity for ther own actions. they think it is love until they find out what comes out of doing it and nothing comes good out of that if you arnt ready to take the responsiblity for your actions

I think teenagers know what love is some of them anyway but if you just date one person one day and another the next that's bad but a lot og teenagers know what love is
