Cliques

Where does everyone fit in? We all think that there are the “popular people” then the “nerds” and the “emos”. But where does everybody else fall in place? I’m smart, get good grades, do I fit in with the “nerds” ? Well you could call me a nerd but not all my friends are nerds. I like the color black. Does that mean I fit in with the “emos”. Well I guess you could call me emo but not all my friends are emo. I can be pretty preppy at times. Does that mean I fit in with the “popular people”? Well I guess you could say I’m popular… but not all my friends are popular. Now I bet you’re reading this and going through how you could fit into several completely opposite groups/cliques. The truth is, that everyone is this way. We all interact with totally different people everyday. So why do we have cliques? Because the “popular people” think its cool so we all follow them when what we should be doing is just hanging out with whoever we want regardless of race, ethnicity, religion,etc. Everyone is different! Why can’t we embrace that instead of shun it?!?! I don’t know about you but I would love to just be able to hang out with friends regardless of what “clique” they are in.
