I Am Offended

I am offended.

I can't pray in public

I can't sing "Joy to the World"

I can't set up a nativity scene in my front yard-

I'm "Shoving Religion" down "people's" throats.

I am offended.

Everyone speaks during the "moment of silence"

No one says the Pledge of Allegiance.

It's ok to drop the "F" bomb

But if I bring my Bible to school I'M crazy?

I am offended

Atheists can publicly denounce GOD ALMIGHTY

Catholics can cross themselves

But BAPTISTS are fanatics?

I am offended.

Liars have senate seats

Fools represent our nation

PRAYER was taken out of school

and no one has protested YET?

STAND UP, AMERICA!!

I love Jesus because he was a good man although I do not worship him. And yes, I agree that having a good heart can get you in to heaven. That's why even though Jesus was a Jew and not a Christian, he can still go to heaven.

Jesus was a jew but his death they changed the name to Christianity because Christ already came.. and people who believed he wasn't Christ stayed Jews

Oh, and not that I agree with anything you've written or stand for, but when you complain that no one has protested yet, think about all of the like-minded people who do protest those sorts of things: Christian extremists such as yourself (no offense) and the people who organize protests across the country for God. I know I'm not the first person to think of this. However, it has been quite a while since anyone has stood up for what they believe in, and I feel that it is my responsibility to do my part. I was merely referring to people I know personally. This was an e-mail to my church and family before it ever became a TEENINK article, just FYI but you see how successful this article has been? It was an e-mail to my pastor. He always discusses what is wrong with our country, and I don't think it's right to complain about something if you have done nothing to change it.

Why is your pastor always discussing what is wrong with this country? I don't think it is really is region of expertise considering he is a pastor. Wouldn't his time be more well spent if he was trying to spread the word of god. I think your Pastor should be working on the Churchs problems not the States.

Not to mention your playing thw "whoa is me" card because i believe christians have more power in this country than anyone. I mean your makeing gay marriage illegal. Do you even know what you are talking about? Mormons can walk the streets and hand out garbage...Muslims run the country?...go ahead and bring your Bible to school. If you want to read it during your free period, I wouldn't care. You can too set up the nativity scene in your front yard. You can pray in public. i mean, if you stood in the middle of a street and prayed, that might cause traffic trouble, but if you take a corner in a park or whatever to pray, i don't think anyone will rea... You know what?You don't have the right to NOT be offended.You have the right to whatever set of beliefs you want and the right to criticize or even mock the beliefs(or non-beliefs) of others and eveyone else in America is entitled to those same rights.
