If You Are Not Christian Why Would You Go To Hell?
I think that even if you are not christian, you will make it in heaven! How do we know if what the bible says is true? We don't really have a reliable source for that. And just because you are not a follower does not? mean you are not his children. If God truly created us equally, in some way, why would there need to be a reason for going to hell or to heaven? In god's eyes we are his children, and nothing can change that. You shouldn't always trust something you read. I mean how do we know that they are hiding the truth from us with this bible?? How do we know it's not all made up?

...Can I point out that, according to your religion, I will burn in hell because I am Wiccan? Some people say that you won't go to hell if you don't believe in God. But being a Witch automatically makes me a demon? Witches don't even believe in a Devil, let alone worship one. Are Witche's Rede is "Harm None". Yet Christians say I will burn in a pit of fire forever. So, to make my point, you are contradicting yourself.
I hope I haven't offended anyone! Thanks for listening! :)
Interesting topic. But I believe the base assertion is a bit faulty. My belief on the matter is that God is the personification of goodness and perfection. And the place he dwells (heaven) reflects that position of perfection. There is no room for the tainting of sin in God's presence. It's undeniable that we have all done things wrong (sinned) on some level or another. It doesn't matter what degree of wickedness we perform, it still breaks our track record so we are no longer perfect. And our imperfection means we cannot dwell in God's presence.
So you see, goodness is not the relevant factor here. There is no way we can become "good enough" to deserve heaven. So God offers the alternative: believe in the sacrifice I have put to take the punishment for your wrong, so you can be clean and perfect in my sight and be with me in heaven. Many other religions offer great moral fundamentals, but ultimately miss the main point, the neccesity for salvation. Only one religion can be right, but some can be closer than others to the answer. To quote C. S. Lewis: "As in arithmetic--there is only one right answerto a sum, and all other answers are wrong; but some of the wrong answers are much nearer being right than others."
This is just my perspective on things, which I wanted to give because I've grappled with these questions personally. I'm not here to start an argument or anything.
Blessings
I've read the bible. I didn't know that wearing polyester was a sin.
I've looked around me. I saw a lot of people. I don't know if you know this, but the thoery of evolution has been proven. the people that I see share a common ancestor with great apes.
Please follow your own advice and step out of your room, turn off glenn beck, and put down your bible.
