Bird's Eye View of a Hacienda Garden
Aside the turquoise waters of Lake Atitlán lay a valley of waterfalls and volcanoes. Situated in the center of the valley are forests full of squealing monkeys and colorful birds. This image was taken using a tripod to hoist my camera to tree level. As the birds became curious, they inched their way towards my lens as my self timer went off.
This image was honored in the Young Travel Photographer of the Year 2010 Competition.
