What if?
What if I like waffles more than pancakes?
What if I moved to Mars?
What if the world is flat?
What if violets were actually violet?
What if I was two inches taller?
What if the class next door was quieter?
What if I had less siblings?
What if grammar not did to have exist?
What if I lived in the Stone Age?
What if I’m not human?
What if I am?
What if I didn’t have to go to high school?
What if I don’t want a role model?
What if I didn’t walk into so many walls?
What if I had more brain cells?
What if I had an existential crisis?
What if I don’t pass my classes?
What if I don’t care?
What if I don’t want to understand anymore?
What if I wasn’t so awkward?
What if I run the extra mile?
What if I wasn’t so broken?
What if I didn’t do so many stupid things?
What if I had bigger dreams?
What if I was prettier?
What if I can’t reach my stars?
What if I didn’t have to cry so often?
What if I had more panic attacks?
What if I could change?
What if I can’t change?
What if I could do better?
What if I knew how to be better?
But…
What if there were no what-ifs?
What if I didn’t have to question myself?
What if I didn’t have to question everything?
What if I didn’t have to question people!!
What if I used “I can”?
What if I used “I have”?
What if I used “I am”?
What if I used “I know”?
I can change.
I have run the extra mile.
I am dreaming.
I know my bigger dreams.
I can pass my classes.
I have to care about something or someone.
I am finding my stars.
I know that clumsiness is a part of me.
I can do better.
I have at least three brain cells.
I am not going to have an existential crisis today.
I know that crying is great for my skin.
I can get stronger and become less broken.
I have done fewer stupid things… Recently.
I am awkward and will forever be.
I know I should not, I should never question myself.

I have anxiety and these were the type of questions that ran through my head every time I had a panic attack. My creative writing teacher pushed me to write how I felt and this is what I feel like. Everyone goes through something like this. It is okay.
