A STONE STORY
A Stone for a day
A stone for a time
A stone for a tale
A stone, each a memory
A box of stones
Was left behind
Was left behind
With notes
The first a stone
White, crystal and round
With a note that read
The day at the hound
The second a stone
Black and flat
With a note that read
That rainy day that stormy night
The third a stone
That was white and black
With a note that read
Mixed feelings on our first date night
The fourth a stone
That looked unique
Bright and shiny
With a note that read
The day you proposed what a magical night
The fifth a stone
With particles of gold
And a note that read
Our wedding night
The sixth a stone
Black and bright
Small and cute
With a note that read
Our lovely child
The seventh a stone
I still remember
Was the one she gave me,
When she said goodbye
