TW//DEATH, LOSS
My body shakes
as I hear that he's gone.
My dog gone, I scream,
I want him to come back.
He's gone, my voice gone.
I didn't want to believe it.
Say April Fool's mom,
he needs to be here.
I still won't believe it,
the light from my eyes, shaded
black like the dead of night.
I'm wishing April never came.
I hope the light comes back to my eyes.
I hope he is healed.
I cry for him.
My childhood dog, put to rest.
