If I could meet the man (or is it a woman?)

(an ant?)

in charge of it all ...

The superpower god who

makes lightening strike

and shooting stars

slide across the sky

who twirls tornadoes

with a pinky finger

The ringmaster

who holds up the tight-rope walkers

and makes the clown funny

The cupid

of red romance in the

soft springtime

The miracle worker

who knows ALL

who smears

the pastels at sunset

and paints the darkness

who makes time go on (and on and on ...)

who designs the snowflakes

The one who decided

spinach was healthy

and chocolate

was BAD

The muscle that keeps

our hearts beating

our faces smiling

The boss

chief

big cheese

head honcho

The controller of all fate

The mastermind keeping secrets ...

Yes, if I could meet this Genius

(if I had the chance)

I would stand up straight

my shoulders back

my head held high

with eyes unblinking

I would not shake

or stutter

I would ask

(not a whisper or muffled mutter)

I'd ask in a clear voice

I'd say

The question we all wonder

the question in every heart

the question only this ONE

will know the answer

I'd say

excuse me, Sir, Madame

(Thing Of All Things)

I would say ...

I

would say, I

would

say,

I would

say ...

What was I going to say?
