And she barks back a hurtful answer
aimed at their weak spots.
And she sees them flinch internally
And it's good
She wanted it that way
Let them beat her with their fists
And kick at her like a bloody carcass
Let her bleed and bruise and cry out
But don't let them get a word in first
Don't let them insult and hate you with their words
Speak fast and speak first and make it sting
Because her body is unfeeling if it wants to be
But her mind is easily bruised.
