Why should I try so hard to get your approval
When all you think about is my removal
You were raised different than I was
I’m not perfect hell I’m far from being an angel
White wings will never sprout from my back
Instead I’ll grow horns and leathery wings of black
Growing up adults weren’t treated different
I grew up as an equal my views on life are bent
Should I try to be someone I’m not just to please
Certain individuals or should I be the person I want to be?
Underestimated for no reason not to mention misunderstood
I’m one in a million always up to no good
Good or bad it’s the same reaction
Damned to hell because I want rest and relaxation
Actions speak louder than words no matter what
I get judged because my drug of choice was a razors cut
Pain disappeared and blood began to flow
Always relaxing and relieving the stress that grows
Why should I strive for excellence
When no matter what I do I can’t gain your acceptance?
