My Vision of an Angel

The dreams I dream of are all of him
The wind blowing his soft golden hair like wheat in a large open field
His big, blue, crystal eyes twinkling with happiness and satisfaction
His lips carved by an angel curved into a mischievous smile
His comforting laugh echoing into the night
Oh how I love him when he smiles, laughs and teases
I love him when he is mad and resentful even rejecting
I love the way the moonlight dances on his beautiful almost nonhuman like face
I love the way it brings out his perfect nose and his strong chin
his eyes massive pools of water twirling inviting me in
But the waves crash and reality hits, the night becomes black I cease to notice the perfections of his face and his shadow dancing across the rugged cliff
he is leaving
I am staying
I will never see his perfect face again
But still I will forever be trapped in those big pools of churning water
capturing me
keeping me prisoner
His angelic lips forever whispering, asking me to follow him in my dreams
but
it is not fair
I can not leave
And he must
And I will never see him again in this cruel world full of lies and deceptions we call reality
Lies such as the words
I will never forget you
