Sorrow

A sparrow came
It stood at my doorstep
It pleaded entrance
Which I, so foolishly, allowed
It crowed for eternity
So I threw it out
Without any gallantry
Yet to this day its crows haunt me
Since that day
I’ve known sorrow
Never shall it be gone
Not so long as that sparrow’s crow
Echoes within me
