My Ode to the Volkswagen Beetle
Once upon a time, there was a car
It was made in nineteen thirty eight
It stands out like a shooting star
It’s a lovely car, so many traits
Named the beetle, some call it the bug
The punch buggy, who cares? It is love.
Yellow, blue, black, white green and even red
I’d buy it in blue; I’d give it a hug
No faults with this car to think of
The beauty of this car has been left unsaid
Born in Germany, changed overtime
Each year brings a new take, size and style
Each model sparkles, each model shines
The beetle always looks great, it’s worth while
It looks so friendly, beautiful and nice
Its round shape makes it stylish and sleek
Air conditioning and a flower pot
It’s so sweet, like sugar and spice
Its round little lights are very unique
The Volkswagen bug defines the big shot
21 million have graced the earth
So many people have them everywhere
It doesn’t matter to me what its worth
There’s not another car that could compare
It is a beauty, I can’t hide my love
Drive another car? I would refuse
When this care is around, I feel so blessed
Out of every car, I will always choose
The Volkswagen bug, above all the rest
