My biggest fear is silence.
The kind that you can only feel;
the sudden halt of a turning wheel.
An abrupt abundance of vulnerability
that can suffocate any sense of tranquility.
My biggest fear is silence.
The kind that separates the closest friends;
the lack of speech above all transcends.
A growing gap between two of the same;
an arrow missed with perfect aim.
My biggest fear is silence.
The kind that mutes a scream within
when trials triumph and passion wears thin.
The deprivation of freedom of choice
that can devocalize a once known voice.
But most of all, I’m afraid of living a silent life.
The kind that no one cares to hear.
The kind that you can only feel;
the sudden halt of a turning wheel.
An abrupt abundance of vulnerability
that can suffocate any sense of tranquility.
My biggest fear is silence.
The kind that separates the closest friends;
the lack of speech above all transcends.
A growing gap between two of the same;

My biggest fear is silence.
The kind that mutes a scream within
when trials triumph and passion wears thin.
The deprivation of freedom of choice

But most of all, I’m afraid of living a silent life.
The kind that no one cares to hear.
