Book of Life

Why must I be afraid?
Am I unable myself to aid?
This must be my fatal flaw.
My mind is conquered by this law.

Always must I hate myself;
Never can I leave it to the shelf.
Can I ever be alone?
For my sins I must atone.

Follow me they always will:
Seven Generations will they kill.
The Gospel says it is so,
Then this is true must I know.

Trapped in this evil cycle,
Doomed to meet destruction's sickle.
This thought, it does make me dread
Every single step I do tread.

Lucky am I to dodge this strife,
As my name's writ in the book of life.
Thankful for this single task;
For forgiveness must I ask.
