One day I went to talk to Death,
And he, so kindly, obliged
To let me in and waste my breath
About the day for me to die.
And then I went to Life,
To talk about the same.
But shortly after he said, “Okay”
He asked me, “What’s your name?”
So again I went to talk to Death
I begged him don’t let me die!
And just when I thought I had convinced him
He smiled and said, “Goodbye”
And he, so kindly, obliged
To let me in and waste my breath
About the day for me to die.
And then I went to Life,
To talk about the same.
But shortly after he said, “Okay”
He asked me, “What’s your name?”
So again I went to talk to Death
I begged him don’t let me die!
And just when I thought I had convinced him
He smiled and said, “Goodbye”
