Under Dust
We know it is true, that
Knowledge is power,
Yet only confusion came from Babel’s Tower.
Why is this so?
And why is this true?
Why did this happen so long ago,
And not to me or you?
The answer’s are simple,
They lie under dust,
For the Beauty of Man
Is the fact that we rust.
We play, eat sorbet,
Make boats that we row.
And under our breath,
Deny that we go.
Gone forever,
Like the neck of the ocean.
We cry and then fight,
And display spectrums of emotion.
Nothing will help though,
Man will not endure.
All that we know is that
Nothing’s for sure.
So with tears banking on shoulders to cry on we say
“Make not light of your life” and
“Carpe Diem” — Seize the Day.
