Dear Dad,

This letter's full of sarcasm
And when you want to readism
Look at this and thinkism
Of all the good timeisms
like how we'd dad dad dadism
and love you 'till the endism
when chores spring uponism
and say to us, 'do meism!'
you say with loving careism
Tim and Lucy doism
these chores with cautious careism
may the force be withism
you all the way to sithism
and may good fortune come your way
as we greet tomorrow as today.

Love

Lucy

I wrote this letter to my father for his birthday the night before when I realized I had not gotten him a present. He loved it.

ok, well its not a great poem you're right, but i didn't think of it as a poem when i was reading it, and i thought it was wonderful. poetry doesn't have to rhyme or make sense or be "good" it just has to have meaning and when i read this poem, not as a poem but a letter, it did. ♥
