A Message To Heaven

i sent you a message on a balloon,
it was shaped just like a star.
I hope it reaches you,
wherever it is that you are.

It was blue,
and i wrote the message in orange paint.
i wrote,"I Love You"
and "i'll always remember that day."

i also wrote the date that you left,
and how i miss you so.
You know i'll never forget.
I promise to never let you go.

I painted a couple of hearts,
Oh, i hope you get to see...
Especially the part
where i asked if you remembered me.

I mean, you have been gone for quite some time.
I was starting to wonder, if maybe..you forgot.
Do i ever cross your mind?
yeah....probably not.

At the end of the string,
i tried to attatch a note.
But the balloon was such a delicate thing,
it made it nearly impossible to float!

So instead, i closed my eyes and made a wish,
before the wind carried it away.
i said," I hope you get this,
and i hope to see you again...one day."

Then i let it go,
and i watched it disappear..out of sight.
I just wanted to let you know
I was thinking of you that night.

I sent a message to heaven,
I wrote it on a balloon.
I really hope you get it...
I hope to hear back from you soon.
