As the snowflakes drift down
The children will drift to sleep
Angels will kiss their foreheads
Such dreams their hearts will reap
They will awake to the sound of bells
And to the window they'll take flight
But the moon will hush them down
And tell them it's still night
They'll climb back into bed
Peaceful slumber will resume
Their chests will rise and fall
Silence will flood the room
But when the snow is painted gold
And the birds sing their song
Their eyes will flutter open
It will be Christmas all day long
The children will drift to sleep
Angels will kiss their foreheads
Such dreams their hearts will reap
They will awake to the sound of bells
And to the window they'll take flight
But the moon will hush them down
And tell them it's still night
They'll climb back into bed
Peaceful slumber will resume
Their chests will rise and fall
Silence will flood the room
But when the snow is painted gold
And the birds sing their song
Their eyes will flutter open
It will be Christmas all day long
