I’ve raked through the world’s many lies,
Searching for the truth.
It successfully hides from curious eyes,
Preserving our youth.
I’ve searched high and low, near and far,
Sans any success.
I’ve scaled the mountains, sailed the seas,
My life becoming less and less.
The journey will take months and years,
Draining away my might.
I’ve fallen into gorges, got back up to my feet,
Still truth had not been in my sight.
I’ve looked around me and within,
There was no corner I had missed.
It was only then that I realized
That truth does not exist.
Searching for the truth.
It successfully hides from curious eyes,
Preserving our youth.
I’ve searched high and low, near and far,
Sans any success.
I’ve scaled the mountains, sailed the seas,
My life becoming less and less.
The journey will take months and years,
Draining away my might.
I’ve fallen into gorges, got back up to my feet,
Still truth had not been in my sight.
I’ve looked around me and within,
There was no corner I had missed.
It was only then that I realized
That truth does not exist.
