I can’t believe that all this time,
I somehow never knew.
This heart it skips, the seams they rip,
For someone just like you.

We’re so alike, and I’m surprised,
You haven’t seen it yet.
And when you’re old this is a thing,
You may come to regret.

But my love stands, with open hands,
And time won’t pass it by.
It sings to you, for real, for true,
This lovesick lullaby.

And may you hear, and dance along,
And embrace how I feel.
For you will know, if you may go,
You lost something so real.

Though I believe, hearts on the sleeve,
Is just for fools alone,
My love is here, won’t disappear;
Just follow it back home.
