If You Wanted

If you wanted a story
I’d write you the moon
Pale and bright
In the indigo sky

If you wanted a picture
I’d take the ocean
And capture it in a painting
Frame the blues, the greens
Into a masterpiece
So perfect
You could hang it on your wall

If you wanted a song
I’d pull every emotion
Create a sonata
A symphonic melody
A harmony for the angels
So great that heaven’s multitudes
Would give me standing ovations
Whenever I played
And you would wink at me from the first row
Because you knew it was for us

If you needed love
I’d pour my entire self
Heart, Soul, Strength, and Mind
Into making you happy
I’d climb to Mount Everest
Walk the world
Fly to Saturn
Dive the depths of the sea
Just to see you smile.

Thank you! I appreciate your compliment. :) I read some of your poetry, and can I say, it was a lot better than you give yourself credit for!
