The wind, at night
It calls to me
Beckoning me to play
But I shut my window
And I turn away.
"Please, come out and unhook with me,
the leaves from the trees."
The wind calls in a low howl,
And I peek out to see
I see the wind, dancing
Then he rattles my windowpane
"Come, come out and play with me.
To not you'd be insane."
So, I opened up my window,
And the wind swept right in.
He blew away my blankets
And pulled me outside with him.
"Dance with me in the moon light
Tell me you are not afraid.
We will sing to the skies our happiness
To music we have made.”
