melodies
off-key sometimes, until i learn
harmony
deep
high-pitched
not squeaky,
though maybe scratchy
not heavy
or airy
crystal clear
on beautiful occasions.
strong and loud,
but sometimes i’m told
“you’re an actress!
project your voice!”
while i’m
walking away and mumbling.
also standing strong
loud.
i want to be heard,
but when is it the right time?
my laughter,
clothing,
face
and
smile, usually
come bright with a cheery chirp.
hysterics
and gasping for breath
when I sob.
earsplitting screech
or alien babble,
or hoarse, forced
“boys! do not do that again!”
or deep soft
“i love you too.”
a song
with many tunes.
