It's hard to be diffrent sometimes,
Do you know they cry at night?
The hatred of being born this way,
Listen to me I got something to say,
Bein' diffrent ain't nothin',
I'm my own person,
I'm black and proud,
not afraid to stand out.
People who are of color or those who aren't as straight as a line are part of evil hate crimes.
You're out here killing your brother, stop the madness and keep the peace...
Or next it could be you or even me.

I know what its like to be different than others, and what's like when they look at you in a "way".. I like it! 5/5! Good job its such a good poem

this is powerful. great writing and amazing message:) i love it. and i am mixed. (half black half portugues) and i completely agree. nothing like race, or color, or ANY of that should matter.

i'd love for you (or anyone else reading this) to check out some of my work. especially my poem 'Torturer of a King.'

Im not black but i do look pretty tan myself. Just because your skin color is different doesn't mean ur not normal. Your absolutely complete. God made you this way. I love your poem though :) amazing job. keep going
