Inside and Out

Inside I know,
You are no foe,
But on the outside,
I can’t help but hide,

Inside I rejoice for what you’ve done,
For making me feel like you’re the one,
But on the outside I can only scream,
And on the outside I don’t know what you mean,

Inside I thank you,
For teaching me what to do,
On the outside I only hate,
On the outside what you do is just bait,

Inside I realize,
Through my eyes,
What you really did to me,
And I now begin to see.

Inside I scream,
Inside I don’t know what you mean,
On the inside I hate,
Inside I know you’re just bait,

On the inside I find,
That all I do is hide,
On the inside I cry,
Inside and out,
I know I could die.
