He walks by, She can hardly stand
He knows no ounce of care or shame
As he calmly clutches barbie’s hand
Her vision clouds with hurt and blame
The promises he’d spoken but not kept
But he was gone before he came
He’d stolen Her heart while she slept
Become the object of Her dreams
Snapped it in two behind his back
With eyes closed seen the torn seams
Carelessly slapped glue on the cracks
Now over Her his eyes skip
Barbie stares hate down a plastic nose
Suppressing pain She bites her lip
Knowing Her place as the disposed
She holds back the urge to scream and shout
Nice girls go home to cry alone
The anger that boils She doesn’t let out
All along She should have known
His words were shallow and driven by lust
The warm touches and compliments a lie
He was never someone She could trust
Forget him now She vows to try
And only hope in the future far along
He’d finally see where he went wrong
