Did you ever run out
Of sad songs to sings
Have you ever seen the moon
with its beautiful ring

Have you ever danced
under the star-lit sky
did you ever say no
and then wonder why

Have you ever gave up
or throw in the towel
Say enough is enough
and proceed to tap out

Love is hard
and life is not fair
This ain't a parade
and very few will care

You give it your all
and a whole lot more
But you're stuck in a room
without a door

Life will get you down
That is a fact
But when it does
will you know how to act

Depression eats at the heart
Anger eats at the soul
And the ones around you
are forced to feel its toll

You can't tell me it's right
Or that you're not up all night

Now life is hard

But when it gets you down
