paradise is a state of mind

there's very little scope for imagination here
salt, sky, and sea
caressing breeze
warm wind teases and tugs cabana curtains
hems of skirts
makes the ocean a multifaceted prism

which hasn't been
epitomized, mused over
painted and admired?

there are the bowls of fruit,
glasses of ice
a light sizzle-
can't tell if it comes from the grill
or skin cells frying in sun.
silly girls-
you might need those someday.
