As a child, I had believed
Everything they told me
As a child, in my dreams
I listened to the birdies
As a child, I was scared
Of my very own shadow
As a child, I had cared
Of every little hallow
As a child, I would jump
And could sing better than anyone
As a child, I could play
With each and everyone
As a child, I would dance
To songs I didn't know
But I was a child, and right now
I wish I hadn't grown.
Everything they told me
As a child, in my dreams
I listened to the birdies
As a child, I was scared
Of my very own shadow
As a child, I had cared
Of every little hallow
As a child, I would jump
And could sing better than anyone
As a child, I could play
With each and everyone
As a child, I would dance
To songs I didn't know
But I was a child, and right now
I wish I hadn't grown.
