Society Insanity

I've been watching,
Watching those around me,
Their reactions,
Their expressions,
It seems to me,
Society owns our souls,
It has told us,
How to feel,
When to be happy and when to be sad,
What is love and who to love,
When we can have fun,
And what is freedom,
From birth,
Lies have been everywhere,
I have learned,
To tell the truth,
Between truth and deceit,
Never trust anyone,
It appears society,
Has slowly,
Made me insane,
From the time I wake,
I stare into a mirror,
While madness,
Grins wickedly back at me at me,
The longer I glare,
The more space it consumes,
And the pavement we share,
As I walk on it,
All I see,
Are earthen faces of menace,
Watching me,
Because my feet are tied to the ground,
I look to the sky,
And I see angels,
Flying in circles,
Knowing true freedom,
When I break away from my stupor,
I find roots,
Growing out from my body,
Everything around me,
Just a torn and sundered reality,
Then I close my eyes,
A blood lined horizon,
Fills my mind,
And I know what tomorrow will bring,
