Perfect Insanity

I’m not as strong as I appear,
For you, I’ll smile,
But really, I am broken,
Falling to pieces

There’s not a thing more hurtful,
Than knowing the truth,
That I was not the only one,
Just a second choice.

If I could show you my pain,
There’d be a deep gash,
Going down my fragile heart,
Tender to the touch.

Sometimes I wonder why I stay,
I can’t take the pain,
But how I feel in your arms,
Not a feeling more great.

I’ll give you my trust, just once more,
I’m going crazy,
This happiness filled with pain brings,
Perfect insanity

This is a really good poem, I liked the mixed emotion and transition of her feelings as the poem progressed best!

I've never really had bad relationship drama until this year, and then suddenly it was one boy after another breaking my heart. But it did inspire a lot of poems from me. Thank you!

This is sad, but very emotional in a good way. I trust you'll be able to figure out the difference between attraction and true love, which is what i sense you are going through in this poem. I love that of the poems I've read of yours, they are very true to life experiences! Keep writing! great job!

Aww, this was so sad. I like it because it is very relatable, and I have been in a situation like this. This is also very well written. Good job! :)
