Settling Dust

What's this?
Something in the world's amiss,
and I don't know what it is.

I'm just sitting here by myself,
watching the dust settle.

Breathing is easy,
when no one is watching.

So I'll close my eyes,
and you can walk away easily.

This is a unique poem, I don't see many couplets so this is rare. But it totally works. Good job! The emotion if very strong as well
