How Words Hurt

Whenever
someone makes fun of someone else
or people call each other fat
and ugly,
it really makes me angry.
It just
makes me
want to scream at them.
To let them know
how it makes me feel.
Don’t they know
how much words hurt?
Maybe they know
and just don’t care.
I wish
they would realize
what they say
could be
the difference between
life,
and
death.
Hope,
or
another scar.
You never know
how what you say
will affect
a person.
Do you
want to be
the reason
someone
kills themselves?
Or starves ,
cuts,
binges,
hates themselves,
cries
every night?
Words hurt.
Please,
please,
please,
think
before you speak.
