We Are

We are
the mathletes,
the nerds,
the geeks,
the dorks.
The gamers,
the losers,
the science Olympians.
The outcasts,
the socially untouchable.
You know who we are, yet you don’t actually know us.
How?
You see us every day,
but pretend not to.
We’re the ones quietly sitting in class.
We’re who you talk about
with your friends in the hallways.
You think your
so sly
and that we don’t hear you.
Well your wrong.
We hear every word.
Maybe you don’t mean any harm,
but then again, maybe you do.
Regardless of your intentions,
you words hurt.
After wall,
we’re only human,
just like you.
